It's a way of providing home-based shoe fitting appointments in the Sunshine Coast Regional Council area. It consists of free appointments in pre-set areas on scheduled dates as well as specially arranged visits for a fee based on location.

Visits are available on various weekdays and Saturdays based on our Visitation Schedule. Phone James on 0432 307 672 or use our Request a Visit form to indicate which dates and times on our schedule would suit. Appointment times are on the hour from 9am to 4pm inclusive, and last about 40 minutes.

​You can express interest in particular items from our current Visitation Van Styles and as many other styles as you wish from our website or a printed catalogue. You can also describe shoe features you seek so that we can recommend styles for you. We can then discuss with you what we are likely to be able to bring before you decide whether to go ahead with the visit, or you can just opt to see what we are able to bring. While we try to bring a reasonable number of your preferred styles, possiblities are affected by availability, space, time, and the location of the stock. We do not reserve shoes for Visitation customers or guarantee what we can bring, but most visits involve a reasonable number of requested styles plus whatever other currently allocated Visitation Van Styles can fit in the van on the day.

These are footwear styles stored with our Visitation Van in readiness for home visits and retirement village pop-up shops. Home visit and pop-up shop customers are not limited to these, but they provide a default set of choices beyond any particular styles requested. The set of van styles is less than a tenth of our range and gradually changes over time. See our current Visitiation Van Styles.

Visits suit ground-floor or lift-accessible residences with parking available within 30m. These requirements help ensure we can wheel one or two crates of shoe boxes into your home on a hand trolley.

If possible, please let us know whether reliable Optus 3G mobile access is available at your premises for our card payment facilities - otherwise a purchase may not be possible at the visit except by cash.

We usually release shoes to customers only after receiving payment. This means if you choose shoes but payment is not possible at the visit, we will need to take the shoes back with us to the shop. We can hold them for the time it usually takes to process a transaction another way (eg Visa or Mastercard payment over the phone or direct debit). We can then offer free mailing of the shoes if your order is for in-stock items over $100. For a purchase of in-stock items up to $100 or a Special Order (an item that needs to be ordered in from our suppliers), the price to have shoes mailed is $15 per pair. 

Home visits based on the dates and localities in our Visitation Schedule are free. For other specially arranged visits, the fee is an amount based on your locality, ranging from $30 to $60 (incl GST). Due to preparation time required to choose and pack styles, customers incur the visit fee upon booking even though payment can be made at the visit itself. The fee may only be fully waived if the visit is cancelled 24 hours or more before the visit. If cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the visit, half the fee is waived, and if it occurs only after our representative starts travelling to the visit, none of the fee is waived. Most Sunshine Coast Regional Council suburbs are within our service area. The fee for each locality is listed on the Home Visit page on our website. It can be paid by Visa or Mastercard through our online store, by phone on 07 5444 8009 (Mooloolaba store) or 07 5348 9581 (Caloundra store) or at the visit itself, or by cash at the visit. We suggest discussing your footwear needs with James on 0432 307 672 before paying the fee so you can decide whether we can offer the type of options you are seeking.

Booking involves a four-step process designed to maximise our chances of taking suitable footwear options to your appointment.

STEP 1 - PROVIDE VISIT DETAILS
Let us know your name, contact details, address, and a set of your preferred visit times on one or more of the dates shown in our Visitation Schedule. We can then indicate whether a visit will be possible at one of your preferred times. You can provide your information using our Request a Visit form or by phoning James on 0432 307 672.

STEP 2 - DISCUSS YOUR FOOTWEAR PREFERENCES
Talk with us on the phone about your feet, your shoe size and your footwear preferences so we can suggest some options. Information on your previous purchases may help us to verify a size. You can choose from our current Visitation Van Styles, which change regularly. You can also request a small number of other styles from elsewhere on our website if you wish, though inclusion of these may depend on the stock location and time available before the visit. You can use the website to check the availability of particular combinations of style, size and colour, and let us know your exact requests.

STEP 3 - CONSIDER THE SELECTION AVAILABLE
Wait for us to confirm which of your preferences are available in sizes that may suit, plus any other shoes we suggest. Then you can decide whether it's worthwhile to go ahead with a visit. While we make our best efforts to bring your preferred shoes, they are not reserved so please be aware that available options may change if the visit date is too far away.

4 - PAY ANY APPLICABLE VISIT FEE
The fee applies only to visits at localities outside those listed in our Visitation Schedule for the relevant visit date. See the Home Visit item in our online shop to view the price for your locality. The fee can be paid by Visa or Mastercard through our online store, by phone on 07 5444 8009 (Mooloolaba store) or 07 5348 9581 (Caloundra store) or at the visit itself, or by cash at the visit. Another option is direct debit, though this must be done early enough for the payment to clear before the visit. Please phone James on 0432 307 672 to arrange this.

We suggest talking with us about a week ahead of your visit date if you want us to bring any products other than the current Visitation Van Styles. This allows time for discussion and selection of the footwear to be taken to your appointment.

You can pay for shoes and any relevant visit fee by Visa, Mastercard or cash. Credit and debit card payments at the visit depend on the availability of a mobile signal for our card payment facilities. We release shoes to customers only after receiving payment. This means that if you choose shoes but payment is not possible, we will need to take the shoes back with us to the shop. We can hold them for the time it usually takes to process a transaction another way (eg Visa or Mastercard payment over the phone or direct debit). We can then offer free mailing of the shoes if your order is for in-stock items over $100. For a purchase of in-stock items up to $100 or a Special Order (an item that needs to be ordered in from our suppliers), the price to have shoes mailed is $15 per pair. 

Please be aware that due to preparation time required to choose and pack styles, customers incur the visit fee upon booking, even though payment can be made at the visit itself. The fee may only be fully waived if the visit is cancelled 24 hours or more before the visit. If cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the visit, half the fee is waived, unless it occurs only after our representative starts travelling to the visit, in which case none of the fee is waived. Cancelling or changing your appointment time more than 24 hours before a booked appointment is free of charge, but re-scheduling will depend on our availability. ​No. Special Orders need to be received in accordance with our Special Orders policy, which requires either in-store pickup or a freight cost of $15 per pair for forwarding to you.

​No. Returns should follow the process described in our Returns Policy

No. We can do home visits for Department of Veteran's Affairs MGF if your prescription states the need for a home visit, but DVA home visits occur under different arrangements with shoes available from a set list of medical-grade options and involve no visit fee to you as a DVA client. If your DVA MGF prescription does not indicate a home visit requirement and you are within a distance suitable for visiting our shop, please phone 07 5444 8009 to make an appointment for an in-store fitting at the Mooloolaba store.
